Texas Proposition 12: House Joint Resolution 3 "HJR3"
Texas Proposition 12, (HJR3):
On September 13, 2003, Texas Proposition 12 passed by a narrow margin.
The lawyers of Street & Ragsdale thank all of you who worked hard in our attempt to defeat
Texas Proposition 12, HJR 3, in the September 13 election. We almost won, but, unfortunately, the doctors, insurance companies, and those misguided individuals who believed the Texas insurance industry's lies that insurance premiums would be lowered simply overpowered those of us who know better. We pledge to keep a close eye on the Texas legislature and let you know which legislators sponsor bills to limit the recovery of personal injury victims.
While we may have lost the Texas Prop 12 fight, we still intend to do what we can to remove those from office who sponsored this horrible amendment, starting with Texas Governor Rick Perry and State Representative Joe Nixon. Maybe the silver lining to this black cloud will be the defeat of a couple of the insurance company's biggest cronies.
Watch this page as we keep it updated with information on the Texas Governor, Texas State Legislators and the insurance industry. We are continuing the fight to make sure Texas personal injury victims have the right to be compensated for their injuries.
